Obituary of Helen H. Spencer

Helen Harris Spencer passed away at home in Fairport, New York, on June 26, 2019 at age 99.  Born in Claudville, Virginia and raised in nearby Stuart, the oldest daughter of Henry Harris and Mattie Marshall Harris.  She attended Ferrum College in its class of 1942.  She was predeceased by her husband, Shelton Spencer, in 2002, and moved from Roanoke, Virginia, to upstate New York in late 2018.  She is survived by her three children, Joy Paige Phillips of Phoenixville, PA, Letrica “Lea” McDonald of Fairport, NY, and Shelton Spencer, II of Jarvisburg, NC; numerous grandchildren and other family. 

Services and Interment will be held privately.
