Gael, a BSA Silver Beaver Award recipient, was a member of the Boys Scouts of America for over 33 years, holding numerous positions in Scouting.  A Wood Badge graduate, she was a Den Leader, Cub Master, Troop Committee Chairman, Properties Committee member, Campmaster and served on camp staff at Massawepie Scout Camp.

She was an avid reader who was constantly reading.  She devoured books!  A favorite activity was to go to discount book stores and sales to add to her collection.  She was a devotee of the Food Channel.

Gael loved to travel and camp. She and her husband went on many trips together.  Fall trips to New England and eastern Canada, a trip to England and another to Alaska were some of her travels.  Weekends spent camping at the “River” as well as many camping trips with the scouts were the focus of her camping. Traveling in the covid19 era, consisted of long drives around the Rochester area, even driving 50+ miles to go grocery shopping!

Upon her retirement, Gael started a new career – Quilting.  She joined the Henrietta Quilt Club to hone her skills.  Every family member has been presented with one of Gael’s quilts.  If she heard of a new baby being born, she was off to make a “baby” quilt.  Recently, children of some of her Doctors also received a quilt. She, and her Mixed Nuts buddies, would make Comfort Quilts for local charities.  Altogether, Gael made over 200 quilts – and counting!

The family would like to thank the staffs at Strong Memorial Hospital’s Wilmot Cancer Center and the Highland Hospital ICU unit for the care she received.

Instead of flowers, please consider a donation in Gael’s name to either Seneca Waterways Council of the Boy Scouts (Donate Online) or the Wilmot Cancer Center (Donate Online).
