Carl Langham

Obituary of Carl Langham

Carl A. Langham passed away suddenly August 3, 2020 at the age of 38.  He was predeceased by his father Gary A. Langham Jr. He is survived by his wife Marisa (Schaefer) and son Calvin; his mother Carla (Gentile) Langham. Sisters Alison (Aaron) Hughes and Kathryn Prouty. Mother and Father in Law Isabelle Seebold and John Schaefer; Sister-in-Law Ellen (Mark) Carrasco and Brother-in-Law Steven Seebold; Nephews and Niece John, Michael, Elsie and Jacob Hughes, Raiden Carrasco and Jason Prouty; Aunts and Uncles Tom (Marcia) Langham, David Langham and Debra (Patrick) Moore and many cousins and cherished friends.

First and foremost, Carl was a family man. He was devoted to the love of his life, Marisa, who for the past 15 years was by his side. The life that he created with Marisa was one that brought him immense joy and pride. Nothing brought him more happiness than being Calvin’s father and watching his growing son. Carl enjoyed every milestone and everything Calvin would do and say. His son, Calvin, was his greatest gift and greatest source of pride. The connection between Carl and Calvin was deep and everlasting. They share many physical similarities but also temperament and a one of a kind sense of humor and smile. The days that meant the most to Carl were the ones he spent with Marisa and Calvin traveling, out on the water in the sunshine on their boat, or just relaxing at home. He was the only son of Gary and Carla, sandwiched between two sisters, which is not an easy position to hold. He was a strong, supportive, husband, father, son, brother and friend who was always there when we needed him with a listening ear, shoulder to cry on or just to tease and make us smile. Carl loved to laugh, a sound that would make anyone else in earshot want to join in on whatever was happening. He loved music and making things with his hands. He was a skilled electrician and could fix almost anything, selflessly on call whenever anyone needed help with a problem. Carl was also a son-in-law, brother-in-law, uncle, nephew, cousin and cherished by so many friends. He was so many things to so many people and he was taken from us suddenly and far too soon. The hole he leaves in this world is enormous, as big as his thousand-watt smile.

“If life were easy and not so fast
I wouldn't think about the past
I can't forget to turn the earth so both sides get their share
Of darkness and of light”   --Phish
