Obituary of James V. Whitcomb

September 13, 2012. Predeceased by his wife Gertrude; son-in-law, Lawrence McLaughlin; parents, William and Helen Whitcomb; siblings, Kenneth and Richard Whitcomb, Helen Baker and Elizabeth Pauley. Survived by his children, James D. (Diane) Whitcomb, Linda McLaughlin, David S. (Janet) Whitcomb; grandchildren: David J. Whitcomb, Michelle (Kyle) Kingston, James R. (Christine) Whitcomb, Robert J. (Jennifer) Whitcomb; great-grandchildren, Braden, Lindsey, Avery, Katelyn, Savina, Jacob, Ashley; brother, William Whitcomb and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. James served his country during WWII in the Army Air Corp and among his comendations for his service, he received the Air Medal with six oak leaf clusters and the East African-Middle Eastern Service Medal. His family wishes to thank Highland Hospital's staff on 7 - East for the loving care they gave him. Family and friends are invited to call at Miller Funeral Homes, Inc.
