Richard T. O’Hara
“Dick”
September 21, 2012 at the age of 89 with his family by his side. He is predeceased by his first wife, Helen; brothers, Pat & Jerry O'Hara. Survived by his loving wife, Mary Elizabeth (Heveron) O'Hara; children, Michael (Nancy) O'Hara, Patrick O'Hara, Molly (Keith) Ewing, Colleen (Michael) Carney, Daniel (Ann Marie) O'Hara and Stephen (Wendie) O'Hara; grandchildren, Ryan, Kevin and Patrick O'Hara; Christina (Jameson) Mulshenock; Brendan (Jen) and Alexandra O'Hara; Leah Ewing; Brianna (Ken) Duttinger; Blayne, Bridget, Braeleen and Blair Carney; Shannon, Eileen, Kelly, Katie, Megan and Evan O'Hara; great grandchildren Jackson O'Hara and Kellen Mulshenock; sisters, Eileen (Bud) Stellwagen & Helen (Fred) Sarkis; brother in law, Jerry Heveron, many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Dick was a life long bird watcher, a charter member and past president of the G.O.S., a Fellow of the Rochester Academy of Science and a U. S. Army Veteran of WW II. For 36 years he was a teacher and counselor at both East and Marshall High Schools.
Family and friends are invited to call on WEDNESDAY from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at Miller Funeral Homes, Inc. (3325 Winton Road South Click for a Map). Dick's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on THURSDAY at 10:30 AM in St. Mary's Church (15 St. Mary's Place / Downtown Click for a Map). The family will receive friends, for a reception, in the Church Hall immediately following the Mass. Interment at 2:30 PM in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. (Click for a Map)
