My sincere condolences to all of Lin's family. I knew Lin from the Irondequoit Quilt Club, we were both members there. She was a beautiful person and a wonderful quilter, always had a smile and kind words. I enjoyed seeing her at meeting and sew nights. I will miss her.

Jen and Michelle, I am part of the Spring Fling Retreat group that sewed every spring at Watson Homestead. We will miss Lin very much indeed. Quiet and focused, she lit up the room when she was with us. Of course, she spent a great deal of her time outdoors hiking the many trails that wind around and through the property. We will be creating a memorial for her to leave on one of the trails this spring and have our own farewell ceremony then. It seems fitting. Peace and blessings to you both and your families. Diane

Lin was the best of the best as a willing helper to me over the many years at SJFC. She not only did her job very well, but she asked "how can I do more." I don't think I will ever use the copier without remembering the many times she came to my help assuring me that it was not my fault. Her smile and gentleness is a loss to us all, but we are lucky to have only good memories of a wonderful person. She made a difference!!! Lin and all of you, her family, will be in my prayers. Lin was the most courageous woman I have ever known. She was also the kindest. When I was undergoing chemotherapy for breast cancer she sent me get well cards even though she had been receiving treatments at the same time. She would say to me, "Is there anything I can do for you?" She was amazing and I am a better person for knowing her. We will miss her quilting with us.

I had the good fortune of meeting and working with Lin at St. John Fisher College. If you knew Lin you had many reasons to admire and love her. She had a strength and passion for life that never wavered even under the most difficult circumstances. She was committed to living her life and did so bravely.
Lin possessed a vibrant spirit, an open mind and a warm heart. She was a marvel who always displayed an attitude of gratitude for each moment. Even with the stress of treatments she found time to fit in a lunch, to write a thank you card, to send a Christmas Greeting.
Lin was one of God’s better ideas.

Linda and I went to school at RBI back in 1965. We had a lot of fun together back then and remained friends for several years. Then we lost track of each other until a few years ago our paths crossed and we had a couple good conversations. She was so proud of her daughters! When we talked I was very impressed with her optimism and strength regarding her chronic illness. I am so sorry for your loss.

Twenty-five years ago Lin was introduced to me as the "Basil Faculty Secretary." Over the years she became my friend.
Lin was the one constant in my professional life at Fisher. From sewing on buttons to editing manuscripts she was always the one person that I could count on.
Already I miss her very much. I can't image life in Basil Hall without her.
To her family I send my deepest sympathies and condolences.

We were so sorry to hear that Lin had died. We first met her in 1970 when we moved to Rochester from New York City. Our son Michael and her daughter Michelle played together as very small children. Lin made their Christmas stockings, which they still use! We never really lost touch, even though it was just a Christmas card in the last few years. Lin will be greatly missed.
