Obituary of David D. Chans

Tuesday, February 5, 2013. It is with heavy hearts filled with happy memories that we announce the passing of David. Born in Canton, Ohio on June 7, 1935 to Daniel and Gladys Chans. Survived by his wife, Julie; sons, David (Lori) of Penfield and Douglas (Laurie) of Alpharetta, GA and their children; sister, Janet Dingman of Walworth. David graduated from Monroe High School, class of 1953 and Colgate University. He was a member of the Tennis Club of Rochester where he enjoyed games and tournament play followed by a cold pitcher of beer, but most of all the friendships he made there. At David's request, there will be no calling hours. Celebration of his life and interment will take place at the convenience of the family at White Haven Memorial Park in June, the month of his birth. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Kirkhaven Nursing Home for the compassion, dignity and love shared with David during his three year stay.
