Obituary of Judith A. Beyer

Loving wife of Barry Beyer and mother to Steven (Eleni) Beyer and Gary (Elisabeth Rosenberg) Beyer passed away March 2, 2013 at age 79. The only child of George and Estell Raymond, the family lived in Saranac, NY and other upstate NY towns settling in Norwich, NY in 1947. Upon high school graduation in 1951, Judy attended Hood College, then married Barry in August 1955. They raised their two sons, predominately in Pittsburgh, PA and then relocated to Fairfax, VA eventually retiring in Pittsford, NY. Judy was active in numerous community and church organizations including the AAUW, Newcomers Clubs and DAR; as well as serving as a county election worker and clerk for her church. She will be remembered as a wonderful wife and loving mother. The family wishes to thank all her friends, family, doctors and caregivers who helped her over the last few years as she bravely fought the cancer that finally took her. These people brought joy and happiness to her and as her children would say, everyone was better for knowing Judy. She had a way of seeing the good in all people and will be remembered as an optimist, an artist and wonderful cook. She will be missed by many. Judy is survived by her husband, Barry, her two sons; six grandchildren, Gregory (Caroline), James, Rebecca, Stacey, Kurt and Will, also many dear and treasured family and friends. Judy’s memorial service will be celebrated in the Interfaith Chapel at Miller Funeral Homes, Inc. (3325 Winton Rd. So. VIEW MAP) on SATURDAY (3/9/13) at 10:00 AM.
