Uncle Phil was always a wonderful and dear presence in my life. Whether growing up as a child and spending holidays together, or as an adult, spending summers with him, Mom and Aunt Jo. My children loved him and thought it was great fun to ride the tractor on his lap. I know he is at peace and out of pain, which is the only comfort to our loss. We will miss him, dearly!

I remember Uncle Philly as a child as always laughing & jovial, meeting us at various parades with the drum & bugle corps. I also was aware that my mom, Uncle Phil's sister Marge, had a penpal from Australia which seemed such a far off, exotic place. When I was in high school, we had the excitement of finally meeting "Elsie" who traveled to Florida on the Queen Mary. And it was Uncle Philly who brought them together, having been befriended by Elsie & her family when he was stationed there during WWII. As a young adult, I had the amazing experience of living in Australia with my Navy husband and finally meeting Elsie's family, whom we still continue a friendship. Thank you, Uncle Philly, for making the world a smaller place by connecting our two cultures!

Louise and family, We were sorry to hear of Phil's passing. We were acquainted with Phil through the Happy Campers Club and remember him as a kind and soft spoken gentleman. He had some good advice for us as 'younger' campers.

I am so sad to learn of Phil's passing. I am happy that he lived such a long and good life. He was a very important person in my life when I was in high school and college. I worked with him many Wednesdays and Sundays the 7 years I was at Weiders. I have a picture of the two of us dancing at my wedding. I have very fond memories of Phil. I am sorry for your loss.
