Obituary of Pauline G. Vang

March 5, 2013 at age 74. Predeceased by her parents, Lorenz & Margaret Vang. Pauline is survived by her brother, Joseph P. (Jessie) Vang; niece, Lisa (Ojars) Valbergs; nephew, Joseph P. Jr. (Carol) Vang; many other nieces & nephews, great & great great nieces & nephews; her closest friend, Amy (Duane) Smith; and many other close friends, among them, friends of the Roger Williams (Pianist) Fan Club, of which she was President for its entire 20 years. Among other times, Roger called Pauline on her birthdays & played songs for her. Pauline was also a close friend of Larry O'Brien, leader of the Glenn Miller Orch, & Robert Goulet. She was employed by Roch Tel for 44 yrs & retired in 2000. In spite of her lifelong handicaps, she traveled to every state, except Hawaii. Although her final years were spent in the hospital & 3 nursing facilities, she was admired in each for her cheerful personality. She had a marvelous gift for words, as evidenced by her "annual newsletters" and her published articles about things she'd seen during her storied travels. Relatives & Friends were invited to call Sunday (March 10, 2013) 4-8 at Miller Funeral Homes, Inc. 3325 Winton Rd. S. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated Monday (March 11, 2013) at 11am at Our Lady of Lourdes 150 Varinna Dr., Brighton VIEW MAP. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory, may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Choir.
