Obituary of Helen M. Peck

On October 26, 2013 just before her 89 birthday. Helen was reunited with her husband of 60 years Willis who passed away in 2006. She is survived by her loving children Carolyn Peck, of Livonia and Robert Peck of Henrietta; brother-in-law, T. Carl (Diane) Peck of Greenwich, CT; sisters-in-law, Patti Peck of Kennebunk, ME and Linda (Geoffery) Boardman, of Cape Porpoise, ME; several nieces, nephews and many friends. Helen was a 1941 graduate of Monroe High School. Following high school she proudly served in the WAVES during WWII. She was an active member of the Finger Lakes WAVES Unit 49, a charter member of the Women’s Military Memorial at Arlington National Cemetery and longtime resident of Henrietta where she and her husband purchased the first house in Suburban Heights, the 1st subdivision in, then, rural Henrietta. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Jessy and Patti for there kind and loving care of Helen. Per Helen’s wishes there will be no prior calling hours. Her funeral will be held at Maplewood Cemetery (Middle Rd. Henrietta between Lehigh Station and Calkins Rd. View Map) on Wednesday at 11 AM and will conclude with the rendering of military honors.
