Obituary of Elizabeth Gerace
Passed away peacefully at St. John's Green House on 3/28/14. Born December 12, 1921,Betty graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in Home Economics and began her career in New York City as a food editor for American Home and McCall's magazines. After marriage to her first husband Robert Fuller, Betty brought her creative talents for cooking and design to making a home for her family. She later returned to her professional career at the Monroe Developmental Center, assisting disabled adults to lead independent lives and to create homes of their own. While there, Betty met her second husband - Casper ("Cappy") Gerace and started life anew with many happy times ballroom dancing with Cappy and their many friends at the "British-American Club." Please remember Betty and Cappy dancing to her favorite tune, "Satin Doll."
Betty lived a full and generous life as to all who knew her would attest.
She is predeceased by her husband Casper Gerace and her parents, Edwin and Caroline Goettel. She is survived by her children, Robert Fuller of Seattle, WA and Diantha Fuller of Los Angeles, CA, grandchildren Ariana Fuller, Megan Fuller, Ariel Fuller Buckingham, and great-grandson Jacob Buckingham.
A family memorial service will be held in Seattle, WA at a later date.
