Obituary of Robert J. Swift

Robert J. Swift On May 14, 2014 at age 91. Predeceased by his wife Teresa. Survived by his children, Barbara (Terry) Schreiner, Chuck (Debbie) Swift, Paul (Cindy) Swift, Donna (Steve) Derks, Linda (Paul) Artruc; brother, Ed Swift; ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren and many dear friends. Bob was born in Dansville, NY in 1922. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp. in the Third Marine Airwing, Pacific Theater. He worked as a cable splicer with Stanley Wright & Sons, until his retirement. He had a life long love of fishing, hunting and summer vacations with his family at Pike Lake. Bob was also a member of the Ely Fagan American Legion Post #1151 and Good Shepherd Church. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to Donna and Steve Derks for their loving care that enabled Bob to stay in the home he built and loved. His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Marianne Cope Parish at Good Shepherd Church located at 3318 East Henrietta Road on SATURDAY at 10:00 AM. Click here for a map the Church.
