Passed peacefully away June 1, 2014 at age 92. Predeceased by his sons, Ojars Vidas and Peteris L. Vidas. Survived by his loving wife Nina Vidas; son, Ilmars Vidas; daughters, Anita (Paul) Najder, Katherine Vidas and Connie Vidas; grandchildren, Jason (Erin) Vidas, Kristen (Jason) Kathman, Matthew (Emily) Vidas, Elizabeth Vidas, Alexander (Jamie) Vidas, Joshua Vidas, Stephanie Vidas, Nicole (Richard) Bryant, Sarah Bryant; 6 great grandchildren.
