Obituary of George E. Towner

June 6, 2014. He is predeceased by his loving wife, Cathleen; sister Barbara. Survived by his son, Adam; daughter-in-law, Marinelly; sister, Carol; and beloved friend, Joanne; extended family and many dear friends. After completing his Master's in Psychology in 1974, George embarked on a career spanning two decades in a variety of non-profit community service and vocational programs. He was a proven researcher and recognized expert in his field, being a published author of various articles and papers in scholarly journals and publications, including a vocational test adopted by Western Psychological Services, in 1980, still in use today. George was a lifelong learner, teacher, friend, and traveler. He was an avid reader, writer, numismatist and amateur chef. George's memorial service will be held at the Interfaith Chapel at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services (3325 Winton Road South) on WEDNESDAY (6/11/14) at 7:00 PM.
