Obituary of Alice Louise Weston

On June 4 2014 at age 80. Predeceased by her husband Arthur Weston, Sr.; Son, Richard Weston, Daughter, Rebecca Weston & Grandson, Daniel Weston. She is survived by her loving and devoted son, Art (Marguerite) Weston, Jr.; grandchildren, Steven Weston, James Weston, Joseph Weston, Richie (Angela) Weston & Kenneth (Mary) Vincent; many great grandchildren; brother, William Volkmar; sister, Virginia Volkmar; many nieces and nephews. Alice loved it when she could be with family and friends. She would typically prepare everything anyone would want to eat and more - lasagna, chicken, meatballs, pork chops, potato salad, macaroni salad, macaroni and cheese, lettuce salads, tuna salads, cakes, pies and rolls. The table would be full; a virtual banquet! She enjoyed watching cooking shows and writing recipes. She was very industrious - knitting, and crocheting, sewing and taking care of elderly parents, besides her children. Alice met her husband when she was 18 - Art, Sr. who was 17, they married in 1952. Soon after they became interested in the truth of God's word, The Bible, and where baptized together in 1957 as Jehovah's Witnesses. They also had three children to care for - Arthur, Jr, Richard and Rebecca. Her loving husband passed away in 2007, and was preceded in death by their son, Richard in 1991. Alice then lost her daughter, Rebecca, in 2013 which made her very sad. Without her hope in the resurrection Jesus promised, Alice would not have made it. She also put faith in the bible's promise in Revelations 21: 3 & 4 With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say "look! the tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes." and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 6-8 PM at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services [3325 Winton Road South] where services will be held at 8 PM. Interment will be held, Thursday at 10 AM at Riverside Cemetery [2650 Lake Avenue Map to Cemetery] please meet at the main entrance by 9:45 AM.
