Obituary of Betty Nichols

Betty Nichols passed peacefully at her home on July 7, 2014. Born March 1, 1925. Pre-deceased by her husband of 57 years, Jim. Survived by her children Sharon (Tony), Terrie, John (Lisa), Brad (Christy) and Earl; grandchildren Lindsay (Erin), Maria (John), Raina (Scott), Tracy (Sean), Will (Ashley), Ben, Quin, Jamie (Clark), Casey & Nathan; 11 great-grandchildren including her newest, Jude, born June 29, 2014. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and her many friends - including her newest friends at Cloverwood. Betty was a 2nd grade teacher at Ballantyne Elementary school for many years. She also served her Country during World War II building aircraft components at the Taylor Instrument Company. Most of all, Betty will be remembered as a loving and devoted Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and Friend. She gave freely of herself to others and created an ever-expanding family circle filled with love and laughter. A memorial service will be performed at Asbury First Methodist Church, 1050 East Avenue View Map on Thursday July 10 at 1 pm. A reception at Cloverwood , 1 Sinclair Drive, Pittsford View Map will begin at 4pm. In lieu of flowers, donations are encouraged to be sent to Visiting Nurse Hospice, 2180 Empire Blvd. Webster NY 14580. Visitation

No prior visitation will be observed, the family will gather at Cloverwood [1 Sinclair Drive] in Pittsford to share memories following her memorial service.

Service Info

A memorial service will be performed at Asbury First Methodist Church, 1050 East Avenue on Thursday July 10 at 1 pm. A reception at Cloverwood , 1 Sinclair Drive, Pittsford will begin at 4pm.
