Obituary of George W. Dean

George W. Dean, Jr. passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on November 2, 2014 at the age of 87. He is predeceased by parents George & Mamie Dean and his loving and devoted wife of 56 years Veronica M. Dean. He is survived by his children Lois (Walter) Christopher, Pierre (Linda) Dean, Shelly (Robert Gray) Dean, Michele (Kevin Nelson) Thompson, Angela (Aaron) Wilson, grandchildren William M. Leak III, Daria L. Stevens, Jordan D. Thompson, Collin R. Gray, Monique J. Bocock, Fanchon & Walter J. Christopher and 8 great grandchildren. George was born and raised in the Bronx, NY, where he later relocated his family to Rochester, NY. He graduated from Howard University School of Pharmacy in 1951 and continued actively practicing pharmacy until his retirement. He served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1946. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, November 7th from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Miller Funeral Homes, Inc. (3325 Winton Rd. S.) where George’s Funeral Service will follow at 1:00PM. Internment will follow at Riverside Cemetery. George’s Funeral Service will follow at 1:00PM in the Interfaith Chapel of the funeral home.

Interment

Internment will follow at Riverside Cemetery with Military Honors.
