Obituary of Myron Van Scooter

Myron Van Scooter "Junior" Passed away on November 17, 2014, at the age of 87. Predeceased by his wife, Erna “Dolly”. Survived by his daughter, Susan D. (John Riley) Mantisi-Riley; granddaughter, Jennifer (William) Dovidio; brother-in-law, Charles R. Feck; sister-in-law, Joan (Jim) Thomas; step-son, Larry (Janice Smith) Savage; step-grandchildren, Brian (Jennifer) Riley, Thomas (Kristin) Riley, Kristin (Nick) Merlo, Dr. Stacey (Dr. Chad) Cacchio, Caitlin, Micaela & Briana Savage; step-great grandchildren, Natalie, Ian, Evan, Dominick, Sophia & Stella; special nieces, nephews & dear friends; and his loving companion, Xena. Myron enlisted in the Navy at age 17 & served his country honorably during WWII on the USS Columbus. Myron was also a competitive bowler, horseshoe & euchre player, & an avid fisherman. The family would like to express a special thanks to the care givers of Home Helpers of Rochester.
