Obituary of Carol A. Locey

Carol Ann (Bell) Locey, age 78, of Rochester, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Monday 26 January 2015. She was born to the late David E. Bell and Ethel Holmes Bell on 16 February 1936. Her younger brothers David, Richard and Robert Bell preceded her in death. Carol attended Rochester City Schools and graduated from West High School in 1954. She worked for the Eastman Kodak Company and spent countless hours serving with the PTA during her children’s tenure in the Rush-Henrietta Schools. She was a lifelong member of Pinnacle Lutheran Church. Caretaking was Carol’s passion. From tending to her parents late in life to caring for neighbors’ children and her grandchildren, Carol thrived when nurturing others. She will be remembered for her ability to aid others needing assistance. Carol is survived by her eldest brother Carl Bell, her devoted friend Bernice Ortman, her children Richard Locey, Robert (Pamela) Locey, Linda Locey of Virginia, Karen (Francis) McCabe of Virginia, and Edward Locey as well as three grandchildren Robert and Kristina Locey and Emma McCabe. Calling hours will be from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm on Friday 30 January 2015 at Miller Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. (3325 Winton Road South Click To View Map). The funeral will be held on Saturday 31 January 2015, 10 AM at Pinnacle Lutheran Church, (250 Pinnacle Road Click To View Map), with interment following at White Haven Memorial Park.
