Obituary of Roma Marie Gould

Roma Marie Gould Was called home to Heaven on January 27, 2015 at age 88. Roma was born on September 7, 1926 in Waynsboro, PA. She was married for 60 years to her loving husband Rev. Ardell who predeceases her. Rev. Gould pastored many United Methodist Churches in the PA and NY Conference. She loved leading the praise songs during worship services and encouraging the congregation. She is survived by her children, Julia (late David) Hoffner of Hamburg, NY, Susan (Steven) Hunter of Henrietta, NY, Kathi (Louis Carleo, III) Pallotta of Amsterdam, NY; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren. Roma had lived in Amsterdam with her daughter Kathi and her husband and had spent summers at her cottage on Silver Lake for the past 70 years. She loved being with people, especially, family and friends, she also loved singing praise songs, church hymns, summers at the cottage and spring time flowers. She was a great encourager who leaves us with many wonderful memories. Family and friends are invited to call on FRIDAY, January 30th from 9-11 AM at the Word of Life Christian Fellowship, 3374 Winton Road South, Rochester, New York,(Click for a Map to the Church) where services will follow at 11AM. Interment will be held privately in Mount Albion Cemetery, Albion, New York.
