Obituary of William J. Mulligan, Sr

Born in Kirkland, NY on July 18, 1922 he passed away, at home, on March 27, 2015, at age 92, with his family by his side. Predeceased by his parents, Charles and Catherine Mulligan. Survived by his wife Helen (Spriggs) Mulligan; his children, Bill (Susan) Mulligan, Kathy (Earl) Gorton, Brian (Carol) Mulligan, Karen (Peter) Minotti, Mary (Tom Crawford) Mulligan; grandchildren, Richard, Michael Gorton, Daniel, Roger, Patrick, Bill, Michael Mulligan, Katharine, Christine, Anna; great grandchildren, Connor, Alissa; many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Bill was a U.S. Army Ranger Veteran of WWII where he was awarded two purple hearts; after the war he continued his military career in the Army Reserves. He served for many years as the Administrator of the Genesee Valley Regional Market Association. He was a member of the County Fair Association, Rochester Rotary, Kiwanis, Food Link, Grocer Manufacturers, Riverton Country Club, Association of Market Managers, St. Rose Church, Chamber of Commerce, Henrietta Players, Civil Defense, St. Joseph's Church Adoration Society, The Eddie Meath Telethon, Highway Association and the 1964 Robert Kennedy Senate Campaign. Family and friends are invited to call at Miller Funeral And Cremation Services (3325 Winton Road South View Map) on TUESDAY (3/31/15) from 4:00 - 8:00 PM. Bill's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on WEDNESDAY (4/1/15) at 11:00 AM. in St. Rose Church (Lima, NY View Map) Interment Pine Hill Cemetery.
