Obituary of Jesse Thomas Moore

Passed away April 18, 2015 at age 81. He is predeceased by his parents, Jesse Thomas and Ruth Estell Moore; brother, Mordecai Johnson Moore. He is survived by his son, Jay Moore; sisters, Dr. Ruth Moore Jackson of CA, Georgia Moore Mitchell of VA, Barbara Foster Delivfus of FL; brother George Leon Moore of MO; aunt, Wilma Cumbo of NC; uncle, James Futrell of NY; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends. He was a noted historian, Professor Emeritus of History at the University of Rochester and served at the University as Grand Marshall for over three decades. Dr. Moore's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Marianne Cope Parish (Good Shepherd Church) 3318 East Henrietta Rd. on SATURDAY (4/25/15) at 10:00 AM.
