Obituary of June M. Spencer

June M. Spencer (Burkhard) Passed away peacefully on March 24, 2015, comforted by the love of her family and friends. June was born on October 13, 1934 in Rochester, NY. June was blessed with many talents – gardening, crocheting, needlepoint, and baking to name a few. But her true legacy, which will endure in the many June touched, will be her infectious smile and laugh, her can-do attitude and positive mindset, her selflessness and companionship, and her unequivocal loyalty to and boundless love of her family and friends. June and her husband John (“Jack”), who passed away last May, recently moved in 2013 from their life-long home in Irondequoit to the Friendly Home Community in Brighton. There, June and Jack continued their joy-filled life together, engulfed in an inspiring community of friends and caretakers which quickly became their new “home.” The family of June would like to acknowledge all of the gifted people at the Friendly Home and at Eldersource who admirably devote their lives to serving and caring for our elderly. June and Jack were beneficiaries of their many talents and their endless dedication, and we are forever thankful for how much you enriched both of their lives.
