Obituary of Caroline Lillian Zomora Kepple Tress

Caroline Lillian (Keppel) Tress [Lillian Louise Zomora] Age of 83, passed away peacefully in the loving arms of her granddaughter on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at the Palliative Care Center in Strong Hospital. Born to Theresa [Rachel] Rose (Keshel) Keppel and Juan Zomora on April 26, 1932 in Bethlehem PA. Pre-deceased by her husband Norwood Edward Tress, sisters Pauline (Keppel) Shellhammer [Groller] and Marie Zomora. Caroline was raised on a dairy farm and went to the Rudolph Country School in Bethlehem, PA. Through her childhood she worked very hard with her sisters in milking & herding cows, harvesting corn and crops, and bailing hay. She was married to Norwood Edward Tress on March 6, 1954 at the Evangelical and Reformed Church, and lived in the Lehigh Valley region enjoying her special interests of cooking, scripture study, sewing hobbies, crochet, knitting, gardening, traveling our great nation, and singing while playing the guitar & organ. She moved to Rochester, NY where she lived with family and was loved and cared for through the end of her journey as a Latter-day Saint. Caroline and her family were supported by Lifespan, Unity Day Program, & VNS services. We are grateful to all the individuals involved who helped make Caroline’s day-to-day journey pleasant and allowed her to feel special. She is survived by her son Tab (Marianne) Tress, grandchildren Sarah (Andrew) Pingrey, Audrey (Andrew) Van Lare; step-grandchild Justin Reynolds; six great-grandchildren (Pingrey): Prudence, Jancis, Rutherford, Primrose, Cecil, Mariette; nieces Donna Groller, Paulette (Keith) Adams, Carolyn (Greg) Mikols; and nephews William (Vicky) Groller, Charles (Michelle) Groller. Memorial service to be held 10:30am on Saturday July 18, 2015 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1400 Westfall Road, Rochester, NY.
