Obituary of Cheryl Irene Thomas

Cheryl Irene Thomas "Cheri" Cheryl Irene Thomas, loving mother, beloved sister, devoted nana, and caring friend, was called home to heaven on February 3, 2016 at her home in Bailey, North Carolina. She was predeceased by her loving mother Deanna (Lamica) Thomas. She is survived by her son, Zachary Thomas, Syracuse, NY; her three grandchildren, Mason, Bridget, Chapel Hill, NC; and Delilah, Syracuse, NY; her brothers and sisters: Anthony (Cindy- Best Friend) Lamica of Rochester, NY; Beatrice (Todd) Thomas-McCandless, Greece, NY; Robert (Tracy) Thomas, Rochester, NY; Daniel (Leslie) Thomas, Newcastle, PA, Irene Thomas (fiancé, William Duplis), Ormond Beach, FL and several beloved nieces and nephews and cherished friends. Cheri enjoyed spending time with family and friends and her precious cat, Tom. She liked to travel a lot which earned her the name of Gypsy. What finally settled her was her devotion to her grandchildren, especially, Mason and Bridget who also lived in North Carolina with their mom, Jesi Savage. She enjoyed gardening, working, and rooting on her precious NY Giants. She will be missed dearly by all who loved her. Rest in peace, Gypsy! Until we meet again. Memorial Service for family and friends will be held on SATURDAY 2/20/2016 4 -8 p.m. at the Cobblestone House located at Mendon Ponds Park.
