When I first heard about Karen's passing, it was hard to think that she was gone. That was probably because, I was living so far away. Arkansas if a bit of a ways from Rochester. It had also been about two years since we had seen each other. Karen and I are cousins and so we are connected as family, but more than that we shared being in the same generation. We were children in the50s and young adults during the 60s.Then we lived in the same city and saw each other more often. I remember staying overnight with Aunt Betty and Uncle Ed and with Nancy, Gail and Karen. I remember that a couple of times, after church we would go to the neighborhood movie theater on Sunday afternoon. Karen stayed connected through adulthood. Karen was a beautiful child and woman and her beauty was within as well as on the outside. She had an infectious smile, humor and she loved her husband, children and family deeply.
