Obituary of William Samuel Hodgetts

On December 18, 2010, at age 86. Predeceased by his brothers, John & Joseph. He is survived by his wife Jule & their children, Julie A; William S Jr. (Barbara), Frank R. (Drue) & John B.; 6 grandchildren; several nieces & nephews; many friends & associates. A veteran of WWII, Bill served his country as a Merchant Marine and in the U.S. Navy. He was Principal of Thomas Edison and Washington Irving Schools in Gates Chili; former President of the Monroe County Administrators; Justice of the Peace for the Town of Henrietta; Leader of the Town of Henrietta's Democratic Party; President of Guardian Angels School Board; Board Member of the Monroe County Water Authority; founding member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 7248 & served on the Parents Board at McQuaid Jesuit High School. Family & friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Miller Funeral Homes (3325 Winton Rd. So.) A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Wednesday, 11 AM at St. Louis Church (64 South Main Street, Click for Map) Interment, White Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to McQuaid Jesuit Scholarship Fund or the School of the Holy Childhood.
