Obituary of Richard B. Osterman

Osterman, Richard B. “Dick” Rochester: Richard B. Osterman, 78, of Rochester, passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 in Wellsville, NY. He is predeceased by his brothers, William Osterman and Robert Osterman; and his sister Patricia Goodwin. He is survived by his sister, Nancy (Pete) Shepherd; children Chris (Lizz) Osterman, Wendy (Marc) Lemus, and April (Jim) Love; and grandchildren Jory, Alex, Haley, Reina, Olivia, and Callie. Richard was a longtime employee of Monroe County where he managed the civil service program. He was a proud graduate of St. John Fisher College. He was devoted to his family and enjoyed discussing current events and politics. His children will always remember the Friday night dinners out and many fun family vacations as well as his bright intellect and words of wisdom throughout their lives. The family wishes to thank staff at the Northeast Center and Wellsville Manor for their care, kindness, and compassion. Family and friends are invited to call on SUNDAY, May 22nd from 2-4 PM at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 3325 Winton Road South. Richard's Funeral Mass will be celebrated on MONDAY, May 23rd at 10 AM in St. Anne Church, 1600 Mount Hope Avenue. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Contributions can be made to St. Anne Church, Asbury First United Methodist Church, or St. John Fisher College.
