Obituary of Jean V. Brumbaugh

Monday, May 23, 2016, at the age of 92. Predeceased by parents Elmer and Myrtle Verwey, brother James Verwey, and husband Donald E. Brumbaugh. Jean is survived by sons Donald V. (Lucille) and Gary W. (Lana) Brumbaugh; grandchildren, Laura (Thomas) Finger, Mark, Rebecca, and James; great-grandson Michael Finger; nieces Vickey Verwey (David Simonsen) and Valerie Gillette (William); great nieces Kate and Kristen (Steven) Lewis, Lindy and Megan Gillette; sister in law, Georgia Crissy; cousins and long-time friends. Jean worked for Rochester Button Co., volunteered with the RGH Tumbleweed TWIG and the Cub Scouts, was a longtime member of Irondequoit Presbyterian Church serving several years as Treasurer, and enjoyed many cruise vacations. The family would like to thank the staff of the Maplewood Nursing Home for nearly two years of excellent care. No prior visitation. Friends are invited to join the family Thursday, May 26 at 7:30 PM at Irondequoit Presbyterian Church for her memorial service. Interment private at White Haven Memorial Park.
