Obituary of Anna Shirley Hemphill

Anna Shirley Hemphill was reunited with the love of her life on Monday, June 27th at the age of 96. She spent her life taking care of her family and friends. Her family meant more to her than anything in the world. Anna's passion for bridge and bargain shopping were very well known by those who loved her. Anna was married on July 5th, 1941 to Wade O. Hemphill, who predeceased her. She is survived by her son, Duane (Mary) Hemphill, her daughter, Donna (Frank) Murano; three grandchildren, Edward (Diane) Hemphill, Rebecca (Lieutenant Colonel Todd) Benson, Kathryn (Alberto) Santos; and three great-grandchildren, Houston Hemphill, Mackenzy Hemphill, and Grant Benson. Anna will be dearly missed by her family and friends throughout the country. Her family would like to thank the wonderful caretakers at the Friendly Home, Lindsay Place who attended Anna in her last months with compassion and dignity, as well as Lifetime Hospice Care. Anna's life will be celebrated on Monday, July 11th at 11 a.m., in the Interfaith Chapel of Miller Funeral & Cremation Services, 3325 Winton Rd. So.
