Obituary of Marilla C. Vick

Marilla C. Vick Rochester: Passed away peacefully January 6, 2010 at the age of 87. Predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Floyd Vick, on December 22, 2009; parents, Howard and DeEtte (Smalley) Carey & brother, Emery (Virginia) Carey. Loving mother to sons, David (Patty), Brian (Marcia), Lauren Vick; grandchildren, Robert, Daniel, Jeremy, Michelle & Amanda. Marilla graduated from the Highland Hospital School of Nursing and retired from Eastman Kodak as the Supervisor of Visiting Nurses. She was a longtime member of the Daughters of the Nile and life member and past Matron in the Order of the Eastern Star. Her family is grateful for the exceptional care she received from the 8th Floor staff at St. Ann's Community. A Memorial Service will be held for both Marilla & Floyd, Saturday, January 16th at 11 AM in the Interfaith Chapel of Miller Funeral Homes Inc. (3325 Winton Road South). Interment will be in White Haven Memorial Park at the convenience of the family.
