Obituary of Leonard G. Zwick

Leonard G. Zwick Rochester: Passed away peacefully on November 17, 2016 at age 89. He was predeceased by parents, Andrew & Barbara Zwick; sister, Judy Zwick; brothers, Andrew & John Zwick. He is survived by his wife of 59 years Patricia (Gerken) Zwick; children, Beth Zwick, Len A. Zwick, Cathy Zwick, Don (Katie) Zwick, Gary (Laura) Zwick; grandchildren, Hana & Mark Zwick, Brian & Sandra Colangelo, Makenzie & Marisa Zwick; sisters-in-law, Rita & Marisa Zwick; nieces, nephews and many friends. Mr. Zwick was an employee of the Rochester School for the Deaf for over 30 years, serving as Superintendent for 17 years. He was a champion for the education of the deaf and hearing impaired in Rochester. He will be remembered for his thoughtfulness, compassion and sense of humor but most of all his love of his family. Family and friends are invited to call on SUNDAY, November 20th from 12-3 & 6-8 PM at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 3325 Winton Road South. Len's Funeral Mass will be held on MONDAY, November 21st at 11AM in St. Joseph Church, 43 Gebhardt Road, Penfield. Interment, Irondequoit Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Rochester School for the Deaf (a fund will be established in the Zwick Family name for professional development) 1545 St. Paul Street, Rochester, NY 14621 or to the Rotary Sunshine Camp, c/o Rochester Rotary Charitable Trusts, 180 Linden Oaks, Suite 200 Rochester, NY 14625 in his memory.
