Obituary of Raymond R. Roveda

Raymond R. Roveda On December 15, 2016, we lost our beloved Cheri, Dad and Poppa. Left behind to mourn his passing and to celebrate a life beautifully lived are his deeply loved wife, Francine, cherished daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Tony Gross, Jr., and his pride and joy: his grandchildren, Andre and Alaia Gross. Ray also leaves behind his devoted brother and sister-in-law, John and Anne Roveda, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Martine and Daniel Veille, special nieces and nephews, Mandy, Gary, Katy, Scott, Kyra, Emily, and Lucas, and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and many loving friends. Ray was predeceased by his parents, John and Mary Roveda, sisters, Anita (John) Kolbuc and Lorraine (Bob) Milsap, brother, Dan Roveda, and his former wife, Betty. Born and raised in Canada, Ray came to the US in 1966, where he devoted his many talents to carpentry, remodeling and interior design. He took great pride in helping to create the home of their dreams for his many clients. Ray loved music, reading and cooking, traveling through Europe with Francine, and spending time with his family and friends. He took great care of his family and was a tremendously loving, caring and generous husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. We will all miss him terribly. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 23, 2016, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., at Miller Funeral Home, 3325 South Winton Road, Rochester. A celebration of Ray's life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Ray's honor to Hearthside Cats, P.O. Box 282, Geneseo, NY 14454. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Dr. Robert Kerper, Dr. Keith Pryhuber, and the entire staff of the Wilmot Cancer Center for the loving care shown to Ray and to all of us during his illness.
