Obituary of Charles F. Lalka

Charles F. Lalka "Charlie" Passed away on December 21, 2016 at the age of 88. He was predeceased by his parents, Charlie and Irene Lalka; granddaughter, Lindsay Millie-Marie Leoboldt; brother-in-law, Tom Garrity. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Phyllis; children, Lee Lalka, Scott Lalka, Elaine (Lisa) Cichocki-Lalka, Mary (Jerry) Leoboldt; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousin, Bob VanCoske. Charlie was a World War II Veteran, serving with the occupation army in Frankfurt, Germany. He enjoyed being a Scout Master for many years with the Otetiana Council. A member of St. Anne Church for over 50 years, he served as a Eucharistic Minister and Lay Reader, was active with the Knights of Columbus - Blessed Damion of Molokai Council #11411. Charlie was an avid reader of science fiction books and in his retirement, found his "niche" with the Footlight Players of Greater Rochester. Family and friends are invited to call on TUESDAY, December 27th from 4-7 PM at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 3325 Winton Road South. A Funeral Service will be held on WEDNESDAY, December 28th at 1PM in the All Seasons Chapel of White Haven Memorial Park, 210 Marsh Road, Pittsford. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Honor Flight Rochester, P.O. Box 23581, Rochester, New York 14692.
