Obituary of Patricia W. Shoemaker

Patricia W. Shoemaker, 70, died on July 24, 2018, in Rochester, NY.

At her request, no service will be held at this time.

Pat is predeceased by her parents, Robert and Evelyn (Congdon) Wightman of Bath, NY.

She is survived by her longtime companion of 36 years, Judy Tappon, as well as her three children and their spouses; Kevin (Angel), Matthew (Kym), Catie (Eli) Amau; her grandchildren and her siblings; Christine Klunk, Leslie McDonald, Kathy Fernandez and Steven Wightman. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and cousins on both the Wightman and Congdon sides.

As an avid gardener, Pat spent hours in the back yard, enjoyed birding, photography, her Springer Spaniels, lighthouses and her annual trek to Cape Cod with Judy.

Special thanks to the staff and caregivers at Rochester General Hospital, especially those in the Oncology and Lifetime Hospice Care departments.
