Obituary of Mary Christine Greene

Christine Greene 86, passed away on Monday 1/9/17 at home with family at her side. She was born in Houston, PA and enjoyed traveling the world as a military officer's wife. She graduated from West Virginia University and Syracuse University with her masters in Library Science and worked at Carrier Corporation in their research department. She was a member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, an avid bridge player, playing with several groups, loved attending the theater, knitting, and reading. Christine attended Twelve Corners Presbyterian Church. Her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her nieces and nephews were so important in her life. Christine was preceded in death by her husband Merle, three of her brothers: Paul, Robert, and Clifford and a Grandson Brian GreenPope. She is survived by her brother John Bush (Christine) of Las Vegas, her children Sharon Hurt (Lewis) of Herndon, VA, Reginald Greene (Barbara Kimbrough) of Rochester, NY and Diane GreenPope (Phillip) of East Syracuse, NY ; five grandchildren - Robin Ghariani (Heitham), Lisa GreenMills (Nathanial), Tyler GreenPope, Brianna Hurt, Alexander Greene and Ryann Greene and 2 great-grandchildren, Everett and Lark. A special thanks to the dedicated compassionate staff at Heather Heights Assisted Living in Pittsford, NY. A celebration of her life will be held at her sons' house on Saturday January 21, 2017 at 150 Hollyvale Rd, Rochester, NY from 1-3pm.
