Obituary of Beverly M. James

Peacefully in her sleep with children close by. Beverly loved and strongly supported her family in many ways, she welcomed and accepted all. She spent much of her life outside, from her days at the farm to traveling, golfing, camping and playing bocce ball. As a Christian and Scout Leader, she taught her children to live life by the Girl Scout Law: to be honest, friendly, helpful, considerate, caring, courageous, strong, respectful, and to make the world a better place. Beverly was predeceased by her husband of 40 yrs, Robert James, her parents Homer & Laura Barnhart, her brother Phillip Barnhart, and brother-in-law Donald James. Survived by children Debbi (Rick) Lambert, Phil (Carol) James, Cindy (Tom) Finucan, Larry (Tammi) James; by grandchildren Amy (Mike) Dittman, Nicole Jones, Ryan (Chelsea) James, Tim Finucan, Julie Finucan, Justin Pettitt, and Jessica James; by great-grandchildren Jay, Topher, Tyler, Mathias, Jillian, Josephine; by sister-in-law Paula James; nieces, nephews and many dear friends. Family and friends are invited to Beverly's Memorial Service on SATURDAY (4-15-2017) at 10:00 AM in the Chapel at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services (3325 Winton Rd S, Rochester, New York 14623). Interment Private. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory can be made to Henrietta Volunteer Ambulance (280 Calkins Rd, Rochester, NY 14623).
