Obituary of Catherine A. Schell
Catherine A. Schell passed away on May 24, 2017. A selfless mother and wife, she worked tirelessly to help others achieve their goals. A constant companion, she was available at a moment's notice to lend an ear, always knowing the right advice and the most comforting words.
Catherine was the fist child of Carol and Stan and loving sister to her siblings. She was preceded by her parents, and her brothers Daniel and Paul. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband and three daughters, eight brothers and sisters, many in-laws, nieces and nephews.
She was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin - Madison with a Masters of Science in Industrial Relations. A staunch advocate for workers' rights, she co-founded the Wisconsin Federation of Nurses and Health Professionals, stemming from a broad nursing career including as an RN in the Intensive Care Unit, and as a Clinical Nursing Instructor at Milwaukee General Hospital.
We celebrate her life with a funeral mass that will be held next week.
