Obituary of Alan F. Zimmer

On May 21, 2017 at age 70. He was predeceased by his parents, George and Gloria Zimmer. He is survived by his wife and best friend Patricia Wood; cousins, aunt & many dear friends.

Alan was a civil engineer with the Monroe County D.O.T. for 25 years & also had work with the Town of Penfield for four years as Inspector of Public Works. His interests included racing and the showing of Mini Cooper’s. He was an active skier which led to his becoming a Certified Ski Instructor. He served his country in the National Guard from 1967 - 1973.

Family and friends are invited to a celebration of his life in the Interfaith Chapel at Miller Funeral and Cremations Services (3325 Winton Rd. So.) on SATURDAY (June 3, 2017) at 2:00 PM. Interment private. In lieu of flowers friends may contribute to the Humane Society of Rochester (Lollypop Farm) or the American Cancer Society in his memory.
