How do I find the words to express what this extraordinary woman meant to me? Dolores has been a part of my life for the past 45 years. Her presence and love increased every day that I was honored to call her acquaintance, then friend, and finally my second mother.
Although words failed her in the last part of her life, there were four that never did. When you took her hands in yours, looked into her beautiful eyes and said, "I love you, mama" -- she always said "I love you too". This is the woman who will live forever in my heart ... a woman who always found the strength to tell you how much you were loved. What better legacy could anyone hope to have.
Rest in Peace, sweet lady.
Mary Ann

Delores has been my mother-in-law for 15 brief years. I immediately recognized that she was the anchor providing stability for her family. I admired her strength and never ending energy. She welcomed everyone, found beauty in the simple pleasures and blanketed you in her hugs while pouring coffee or preparing food.
The 23rd psalm was her beloved passage that her children recited at her bedside for her. It continues to echo in my head especially the line “He restores my soul.”
Hope is the anchor of the soul. When the mother ship diminishes she remains with us and vibrant as memories keep her lessons alive and we hold true the course. She now sets her anchor and signals to us her safe arrival home in the arms of the Lord after a long hard and tiring journey. “He restores her soul” and she lives in us.
Rest in peace, mother
I love you.
Elleen
