Obituary of Ruth E. Maher

Passed away at Monroe Community Hospital, at age 96, on Tuesday, July 11, 2017. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward; son, David; brothers, Donald, Dick and Jack; sisters, Thelma and Shirley. She is survived by her five daughters, Connie of Ohio, Marlene, Judy, Linda (John) of Nevada and Lisa (Paul); four grandchildren, David, Tanya, Heather and Kyle; three great-grandchildren; sister, Marge of Wisconsin; several nephews, a niece and dear friends at Monroe Community Hospital. After raising her children, Ruth was employed as Manager at the Fanny Farmer Pittsford Plaza candy store. She also worked at RG&E in the customer service department from which she retired in 1989. She enjoyed fresh flowers, gardening and had a green thumb for beautiful indoor house plants. She cared deeply for animals, especially dogs, and ate more than her share of chocolate over her long life. Most of all, she loved to be with her family. Services and Entombment were held privately in White Haven Memorial Park.
