John L. Suter
Rochester, NY: 81, passed away on July 23, 2017. He was predeceased by his parents Margaret L. and Frank X. Suter; wife of 54 years, Anne R. Suter; brother and sister-in-law Frank X. and Mary Anne; sister-in-law Mary Catherine R. Rubenstein, and brother-in law Donald A. Reed. He is survived by daughter Christine S. (George T.) Wallace; sons Daniel J. (Mary Ellen), James D. (Erica) of Sparta, NJ, and David M. (Liza) of Stamford, CT; sister-in-law Sally Reed of Shirley, MA; brother-in-law Ralph S. Rubenstein of Amherst, MA; eight grandchildren Adrienne, Maggie (Kambiz), John, Jay, Katie, Annie, Billy, Chris, and eight nieces and nephews.
John graduated from Aquinas Institute and received a B.S. degree from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA. He volunteered at, and was devoted to, parishes including St. Thomas the Apostle in Irondequoit, Church of the Nativity in Brandon, FL and St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Penfield.
He enjoyed a successful career in financial and operational management at organizations including: Security Trust Co., Ontario Metal Supply, Conagra Brands; additionally, he helped found Medical Claims Assistants in Rochester, NY. His most recent position was director of business management at Clearwater Catholic Central High School, Clearwater, FL.
John was cherished by his family and all who knew him. We will forever miss his smile, strong voice and sense of humor; his devotion to his family and faith and his passionate interest in his Buffalo Bills, MGs and world affairs.
The family will receive friends 5-8 PM, August 4th, at Mother House of the Sisters of St. Joseph, 150 French Road, Rochester, NY 14618. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 12 PM, August 5th, in the Chapel of the Sisters of St. Joseph.
