Obituary of William L. Gleason

July 26, 2017. Predeceased by his wife of 64 years Teresa and daughter in-law Nicky. Survived by his children, Pamela Gleason, Paula (David) Billman, Scott, Gail (John) Quartieri. Grandchildren, Christopher Babin (Amy Perez), John Jr. (Sarah) Quartieri, Matthew (Carli), Brian, Robert Billman, Kristina (Justin) Perry, Sarah Bullock & Elizabeth Quartieri.  Great grandchildren, Aidan, Cameron, Sydney Billman, Annabel & Michael Quartieri and Logan Perry.  Bill was also blessed with several nieces, nephews and friends who were all very near and dear to him. 
Bill lost his battle after a six month battle with cancer. He was often referred to as a perfect gentleman by family and friends. Bill was a wise and quiet man often offering sound advice to his family and friends.  He married the love of his life in November of 1949 and had 4 children.  He enjoyed the outdoors, traveling, spending the winters in Florida, playing golf, tinkering in his workshop, building things and spending time with his family.

 
He retired from RG&E after a 35 year career as Manager in the Gas Distribution.
Bill's enlisted in the Navy immediately after high school and served a period of 1 year.  He attended Boot camp in Oklahoma and served on two ships at the end of WW II.

Family and friends may call THURSDAY August 10, 2017 from 12-2. Bill's graveside service will follow immediately at Pine Hill Cemetery. The family asks for the courtesy of no flowers. Donations in his memory may be directed to the:
