Obituary of Arline B. Baughman

Arline Baughman Rush, NY: beloved mother, grandmother, and friend died suddenly Wednesday at age 80. Predeceased by her husbands John Mason and Jerry Baughman; brother and sister in-law Manny and Irene Teschner. Survived by her children John (Mary Jo) Baughman, Sue (Bob) Craugh, Allen Baughman, and Anne Baughman; her 10 loving grandchildren, Lauren, Marissa Baughman, Anna, Teresa Craugh, Daryl, Kate, Jackie, Mary Baughman, and Veronica, Drew Johnson; nieces, Sheryl (Dave) Heacock, Laurie (Ken) Moody; great nieces and nephews, Colleen, Keith, Sarah, and Sam. Arline was a strong matriarch and the binding fabric of the Baughman family. As a dedicated mother and grandmother, she never missed a graduation, game, recital, or play. She was a 1958 golden graduate of Nazareth College in Rochester, NY. She worked full time as a nurse for many years to support her four children after being twice windowed, the second time in 1969. Arline shared wonderful summers with her children at “camp.” Family and friends will remember Arline as an adventurous, spirited, and incredibly generous woman. She took every opportunity to travel the world sharing her experiences with her family and friends. Arline developed a passion for drawing in college, and she became a lifelong artist and supporter of the arts, from painting to interior design. Arline was an active parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church in Rush, NY and contributor to the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Rochester. Friends may call Sunday, July 30th from 2-5 pm at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., 3325 S. Winton Road, Rochester. Arline’s funeral mass will be held Monday 11:30 AM at St. Marianne Cope Parish at St. Joseph’s Church of Rush at 11:30 am. Internment Tuesday 10 am at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
