Obituary of Joseph "Joey" Relyea

Joseph Dillon Matthew Relyea’s brief journey on this earth began December 4, 1991 and ended on Saturday, August 12, 2017. He was 25 years old. Joey left this life surrounded by those who loved him. His last act of selfless generosity as an organ donor will save the lives of total strangers. Joey leaves behind a whole village of loved ones, family and friends. His parents, Lynn and Tim Relyea, Sr., brothers Corey Stephen Relyea, and Tim Relyea, Jr. and his fiancé Suzanne Boylin. He also leaves his grandmothers, Virginia Relyea and Beverly Heveron. Joey had many aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers William (Bill) Relyea and Arthur J Heveron. He was blessed with many good friends to whom he was so special. He was loved very much and will be missed terribly. The family requests the courtesy of no flowers, instead asking that those who wish to honor Joey may send contributions to the family’s GoFundMe account (www.gofundme.com/joseph-relyea-funeral-arrangements) to assist with final expenses as Joey did not have life insurance. Donations to a substance abuse treatment program in your community or to the American Cancer Society may also be made in memory of Joey.
