Ron,
I was very sad to hear about you leaving us so early. You always were one to blaze your own path, which is one of the reasons we loved you.
I am thankful for all of the great memories from so many occasions and I am glad we got to catch up last year at the Park Ave Fest. It had been many years since we hung out, but in a testament to our true friendship, it was like we never missed a beat.
As we’ve gotten older, I have learned how rare it is to develop and share a friendship like ours. It is a gift I will remember forever. I will miss you dearly as will your family, to whom I offer my sincere condolences.
Peace Out!
John

Ron was the best friend and band mate you could ever have, and never passed judgment on people. He always had time to talk and help people less fortunate then him.
He liked when my Mom made him some manhattans when he would stop over and have conversations with her about politics and stuff, and we played a ton of gigs together, some at family events, he was always the life of the party. He lived life the fullest, and when he moved out my way with Patti and Ryan, he was close by and we could jam a lot.
He was always there for his family and friends, he is one of the best friends I ever had, because he was completely real and said what he felt, a very rare thing these days.
I will pray for him and family, and right now he is probably watching a baseball game with Ryan, and just being himself.....In any case my condolences for his family and prayers,
respectfully,
Barry.

My deepest sympathy to Ron's family. I only knew Ron for a very short time. We were in a band together. We made some really great music. When you are a member of a band you become one with your band mates. I am thankful for having known Ron even if only for a short time. You will be greatly missed my friend. Rock the heavens until we come to join you.

Please keep his memory alive for the sake of his daughter, Chloe DeFrank, whom he loved dearly. Please watch over her in the years to come, Ron DeFrank. Much Love, Crystal Noll- Bruno

I'm so sorry for your loss. There are no words that can express the sadness that comes with a family death. I know words don't help the hole that's been left in the family, but I'm trying my best to try and help.
Being there when the accident happened, kera and I did everything we could in our power to help Ron, even if we didn't know who he was at the time of the accident.
Our thoughts and prayers are whole-heartedly with you, forever.

Aunt Carolyn, Geralyn, Patti and Chloe... my heart breaks for you all... although we have been apart from each other for most of our lives.. my memories of visiting all of you in Plainfield, IL (I think) is like it was yesterday.... The loss of Ronnie has really shocked us all. I have followed him on Facebook for a few years now and I can tell he grew up to be a decent and loving man... Patti the joy and happiness when you took him to California and then when you were in Paris... those are memories to cherish forever! He was a happy man... It is those moments that you all must cling to and remember the happier and funny times... Remember his laughter... Remember his smile... even remember his sense of humor... for he was a blessing... a gift from God to everyone that crossed his path... My father once told me when I was grieving with a loss of a loved one... the deeper the pain only means the greater the joy you shared.. May the Joy of Ron live on in you and your memories... May you find comfort and peace through your memories and may God hold you all during this hard times. Hugs and much love

We cannot fully express our sorrow from Ron's loss. Humor, edge, power, intelligence, humility. He personified everything we look for in those around us. A friend you could not see for months and pick up right where you left.
A passionate singer, and passionate soul.
Miss you already, Ron, and will forever more.
