Obituary of Peter Soule Schragle

Peter passed away peacefully with Gerry & dear friends by his side, on September 1, 2017. He was born on January 8, 1951 in Attleboro, MA & grew up in Lexington, MA. He was the son of the late Robert Freeman & Jean Soule Schragle. He is a retired Senior Captioning Specialist & ITV Manager from NTID/RIT. 

Peter is survived by and will be deeply missed by his Husband & partner of 32 years, Gerry Bateman; Sisters, Susan (Thomas) Schragle-Law & Karen Schragle; Sister-in-Law, Ann (Eric) Nelson; Father-in-Law, Gerald Bateman; Nephews: Brian (Hayley) Nelson, Geoff (Susan) Nelson, Jared (Nicole) Bateman; Nieces: Kim (Shawn) Vetere & Justine Bateman; Grand-Nephews & Nieces: Michael, Aidan, Jaden, Kaden & Sarah as well as cousins & many dear friends. Peter always had a soft spot for animals & was a volunteer dog walker at Verona Animal Shelter. He is survived by four dogs: Jasper, Paulie, Chanti, Mia & many Cats. He is predeceased by his Mother-in-Law, Sarah Bateman & Brother-in-Law, Dennis Bateman.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm, followed by two hours of calling on Saturday, October 21 at the Interfaith Chapel of Miller Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. 3325 Winton Rd. S. Henrietta.
