Obituary of Rose L. Bulman

After 74 years of marriage, Rose, beloved wife of Calvin R. Bulman, passed away peacefully under hospice care at Strong Memorial Hospital. Rose was the devoted mother of two adoring daughters, Gloria Dorward, who passed away in 2008 & Kathleen Dvorkin who resides in Henrietta with her fiance' Richard Daniels. Grandma Rose had six loving grandchildren, Debi Moore of Florida, Brandon (Donna) Hampson of Long Island, Brice Dorward of Las Vegas, Dale Dorward of Washington State, Kay Vanater of Florida, Yvonne Owens (deceased) of Nebraska. Great-Grandma Rose also had 9 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister Dorothy VanHaneghan and her brother Frank Barber, Jr. Mom was a strong believer in family, love and fellowship. She belonged to many organizations - lifetime memberships in the Ladies Auxiliary of Henrietta Fire Co. #1 and the East Baptist Church of Henrietta. She proudly served as assembly chaplain and Grand Matriarch of the Grand Encampment of the State of New York and past President of LAPM. Currently Rose belonged to the Teoronto Lodge #8, IOOF and Germana Rebekah Lodge #83, IOOF and a charter member of WOTM and R&GV Railroad Museum. After her retirement from the Town of Henrietta in 1985, she and Cal, traveled to many parts of the world. Enjoying a trip to Hawaii; the final cruise aboard the QE2 from London to New York City; the Canadian Rockies and Scandinavian Countries both by rail. Mothers favorite vacation spot was at Northeast Harbor in Maine. Mom was truly a gift. Rose will be missed by family and friends forever. Family and friends are invited to call WEDNESDAY, 11-12 at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services (3325 Winton Rd S), where a celebration of Rose's life will be held in the Interfaith Chapel at the funeral home at 12 Noon.
