Dear Jones Family
It is with deep sadness I heard of Mr Jones' passing - and I send you much strength and peace. I will always remember him for his calming demeanor as we faced the opposing soccer team And I am honored to be following in many of his interests professionally -working as a Board member for orchestras and development for Non profits.
I am sorry I cannot be with you at the memorial service - but I will be thinking of you
much love - Chrys

Don't we all wish we could be remembered with the reverence and fondness by which we hold Nick Jones. With e mail the word passed quickly through his old Shortridge and Indianapolis friend about his passing.
One of my fondest memories about Nick happened at our 25th Shortridge Reunion. Nick was part of the program. Incredibly Nick had a quip about every member in attendance that night. No one got roasted but the research Nick had to do in finding something about each graduate was unbelievable. Just sorry there were not the electronics there are today because the evening would have been recorded. Each person there left feeling quite important.
Like me Nick is remembered fondly by those of us who knew him.

The BEST Chelmsford Road neighbor ever! Funny, fun, witty, intelligent, kind. Two memories in particular: Cromwells had issues with lawn care, none of us much liked the chore. One day returning home we found a giant X mowed corner to corner on our front lawn. We all howled! Then I had to cut the grass. Thanks a lot Nick. But the real thanks was refers to the time he and Susie came to my mother's after her death to help us by writing and then delivering a beautiful, poignant and fun eulogy. Thanks a lot Nick. What a wonderful man.

To the family and friends,
Nick was a fellow educator at Genesee Community College and we often chatted about students, education, and life in general. He was a gentleman educator and fine man. We will all miss him and his soft voice and generally pleasing personality.
God Bless, Nick.
